In a thrilling turn of events today, bright young Senators Kamala Harris (D-CA) and Cory Booker (D-NJ) have joined the Senate Judiciary Committee.

This marks the first time in history that two African-American Senators have sat on the committee.  Until now, the first and last black Senator on the judiciary committee was Carol Moseley Braun a full twenty years ago.

Both viewed widely in Democratic circles as prospective presidential candidates, Harris — California’s tough former state attorney general — and Booker — the superhero-like former Newark, New Jersey mayor — are also good friends, making their victory even sweeter.

Their appointments to the committee did not come a moment too soon, as Harris’ fellow California Democrat, Senator Dianne Feinstein, had to go rogue today in order to bypass the Republican majority’s cover-up of the truth about Trump-Russia collusion.

Judiciary chairman Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA)  and his Republican henchmen, including South Carolina’s Lindsey Graham, have tried to conceal the details of Russia dossier research firm Fusion GPS’ testimony, in order to help Trump obstruct justice.

They have even gone so far as to recommend a criminal investigation of the dossier whistle blower, former British spy Christopher Steele, in a craven attempt to discredit his claims, which have been corroborated by the FBI.

By joining the Judiciary Committee, Harris and Booker can provide Feinstein some much-needed support against their secretive Republican colleagues.

Furthermore, they can help her fight against the racist, xenophobic, sexist, and homophobic proposals of Trump’s Attorney General, Jeff Sessions.

Not only are Senators Harris and Booker making history . . . they are making Republicans very afraid.

They’re both Presidential material. Problem is who should run for President and who for VP?
