CEO DESTROYS TRUMP ON LIVE TV; ASKS HIM THE QUESTION WE ALL WANT AN ANSWER TO (VIDEO)

Donald Trump finally made his long-awaited (and widely-protested) appearance at Davos in Switzerland today, where he is meeting with world leaders, CEOs, top executives, and the global elite to discuss economic and trade policy. But after all the hype died down about his arrival, he had to do what people do there: actually talk about things. That’s where Trump fails. It’s not that Donald doesn’t know stuff, you know, about things. He is, after all, a very stable genius. It’s just that Trump is pretty bad at talking, period. What he really needs is a portable teleprompter that can feed him lines 24 hours a day, so that he doesn’t shoot off his…

CASE AGAINST TRUMP NOW STRONGER; FBI REFUSES TO DO TRUMP’S BIDDING, OUTS HIM FOR OBSTRUCTION

Early Tuesday, news outlet Axios broke the story that Christopher Wray, the hand-picked FBI Director Donald Trump installed after firing James Comey in the thick of an obstruction effort that he thought might prematurely end any lengthy investigation into his Russian ties, was feeling pressure from Attorney General Jeff Sessions. The DOJ head was apparently after Wray to fire the man who briefly held the post before he was confirmed by the Senate, Andrew McCabe. To his eternal credit, Wray actually threatened to resign his position at the nation’s top law enforcement agency if he were forced to fire McCabe. That was good news for the investigation, but bad news for Trump and…

Republicans just got terrible news about over a million Florida voters

Florida could be poised to score a major win for democracy come this November. Kira Lerner of ThinkProgress reports that a petition for a proposed state constitutional amendment has reached 766,200 signatures, enough to appear on the ballot this fall. If passed, the Voting Restoration Amendment would — as its name suggests — restore voting rights to most Floridians convicted of nonviolent crimes, who have served their prison time, and subsequent parole and probation. Those convicted of violent or sexual crimes will still be unable to vote. Sheena Meade, the Organizing Director for the Florida Rights Restoration Coalition — the group that spearheaded the petition efforts — told ThinkProgress that certification of the amendment is a big win for…

Senators Jeff Flake and Lindsey Graham have been leading the high stakes game of shuttle diplomacy inside the U.S. Capital. With McConnell and Schumer barely speaking through the weekend, Graham and Flake have been trying to find a way out of the mess by convincing McConnell to all but abandon the president.” And so they did. Senator Slams Trump On Senate Floor: I Will Not Be Lectured By A Five-Time Draft Dodger

President Donald Trump and Republicans are trying to blame Senate Democrats for the government shutting down late Saturday night. They’re painting a picture for the American public that Democrats are putting “unlawful immigrants” ahead of national priorities like the military and other critical funding projects. Senator Tammy Duckworth, a retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel, who piloted helicopters in the Iraq War, and who lost both her legs in combat, wasn’t about to take criticism from Trump on the military. Here’s what she posted on Twitter, as well as repeating on the Senate Floor. “Does he even know that there are service members who are in harm’s way right now, watching…
